  • JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Mission and Job Dimension:
  • The Project Control Lead is responsible for providing support to Package Directors in the management and control of 5 Construction Packages (Pipeline, AGIs, Terminal, Jetty, and Pipes force) comprising 10 Contracts. The role entails overseeing various support services, including Budget and Cost Control, Scheduling and Progress Control, Reporting, Human Resources, logistics, and IT. The Project Control Lead reports to the Construction Director and implements directives from the Project Control Manager.
  • Adherence to H3SE rules and conditions within the scope of responsibility is paramount.

 

  • Responsibilities:
  • Set the framework, manage, and empower the Construction Project Control team.
  • Participate in change management, particularly concerning cost and schedule aspects.
  • Prepare and review consecutive variations of Estimated Final Cost and contribute to monthly Work
  • Programs and Budgets.
  • Oversee day-to-day contract administration and coordinate contract changes.
  • Coordinate cost and planning control activities to ensure adherence to company rules and project procedures.
  • Ensure timely and quality reporting according to project procedures.
  • Implement and maintain procedures, specifications, and tools for effective document management.
  • Coordinate correspondence operations with EACOPCO.
  • Report progress and areas of concern to Package Directors and Project Control Manager.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality during all project phases.

 

  • Environment and Terrain:
  • The EACOP project involves a 1445 km 24-inch main oil import channel, underground installations, a
  • Marine Terminal with import quay and cargo out installations, main line block valves, and a long-line heat trace system. The project aims for a Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) schedule within 39 months after
  • FID, facing various environmental, social, and technical challenges.

 

  • Job Position:
    The position will be based at the Job Site Location in Uganda or Tanzania with temporary assignments abroad until the end of 2025.

 

  • Responsibility:
  • Ensure compliance with company programs, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Maintain budget and schedule conservation.
  • Coordinate Marine Terminal conditioning and reporting.
  • Control the schedule/progress performance of Marine Terminal Contractors.

 

  • Qualifications and Skills Needed:
  • Master’s degree or master’s degree in business (or related field) with expertise in all disciplines of Project Control.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, with at least 5 years in large-scale projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in multicultural environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Note: This position will be on a resident basis.
