  • Outstanding Solutions Ltd is seeking a knowledgeable IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Arusha, Tanzania. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization’s IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT systems, and contributing to the development and implementation of IT programs and procedures.

 

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems promptly and effectively.
  • Respond to IT service requests and incidents in a timely manner, minimizing downtime for end-users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including servers, workstations, and network equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups.
  • Liaise with vendors and manage equipment warranties and service contracts.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Monitor network performance and security, implementing necessary improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
  • Participate in the planning, execution, and documentation of IT systems, such as upgrades, migrations, and installations.
  • Coordinate project planning, allocate resources, and track project progress.
  • Implement and enforce IT security programs and procedures to safeguard the organization’s data and systems.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and changes.
  • Create and update technical documentation, including user guides and knowledge base articles.
  • Share knowledge and provide training to junior IT staff and end-users.

 

  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or similar role, with a minimum of 1 to 2 years.
    Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux), networking protocols, and hardware components.
  • Strong knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A, Network, Security) preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
